Josh Teplow uses plant forms as a metaphor for his life journey. Plants begin as simple living systems but quickly mature and become quite complex in their structure. Plants are very adaptive and often overcome challenges that may otherwise stunt their growth. Josh's work is gestural and attempts to create an understanding between painter and audience regarding the complexity of life and how we are able to overcome challenges and flourish.
